Petr Ferebauer's Imaginary World

The KreAt Studio is hosting an exhibition by Petr Ferebauer, a self-taught artist known on the Brno art scene by the nickname Ferda. For a long time, his paintings appeared in the city's cafés and bars, where they were occasionally sold as part of the evening scene.

Now, however, they find themselves in a different context—the clean lines of the functionalist architecture of the Česká spořitelna exhibition space—where their striking colors and expressiveness dominate the serene environment.

His painting is restless, full of expressive brushstrokes, untamed creatures, and ironic and mysterious motifs that serve as open maps of the human inner world—the imagination. Humor, irony, and a certain darkness coexist here, creating a space that at first glance seems fantastical, yet is strangely close to our experience in today's world. The artist is often described as an intuitive creator, a sort of mediator between the world of imagination and the image. The result is a body of work that continually reveals new meanings each time the viewer returns to it.

The exhibition is open during Česká spořitelna's business hours.

The opening reception will take place on April 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Jánská 6, Brno.

Pavel Šuhájek will open the event with a literary introduction. The opening reception will be accompanied by the smooth jazz band ZORA.
